LIFESTYLE: PASTOR ITUAH IGHODALO SPEAKS ON HOW HE HAS BEEN COPING 3 YEARS AFTER HIS WIFE'S DEATH AND HIS PLAN TO REMARRY
... Says His Kids Don’t Lack Mother Figure
Pastor Ituah Ighodalo, the Lead pastor of the Trinity House Church, Lagos, Ituah has said that his children were not lacking mother figures in their lives. Speaking during an interview with Arise TV, Ighodalo also said that his daughter has warned him against remarrying.
He said, “I have been lucky. They (children) have about four women (as mother figures) in their lives. They include my mother-in-law (their maternal grandmother), my brother’s wife, Ifeyinwa; my sister, Toluwalope; and Dami, who used to be Ibidun’s personal assistant. And, she has continued in that role.”
Asked by the interviewers if Dami was single, Ighodalo said, “She is single, but is like a daughter to me. She is a good friend’s child, and I practically brought her up.”
“It is not possible to say I would never remarry, but if I had my way, I am okay. I am happy and my life is not complicated. I am looking after my children, and I am doing well. I might consider it when my children are older. My daughter has also warned me not to remarry (laughs)”, Pastor Ituah also said.
Shedding light on how he had been coping with being a widower and wading off female attention, Ighodalo said, “I am coping well because I was a bachelor for a long time and I know the game. I am very clear in my thoughts, and I would not be in the same space with any woman just by myself. I am always either with my personal assistant, special assistant or chief of staff. Or, they (women) would come to my home, where there are maids around.”
Recall that Ighodalo lost his wife, Ibidun, on June 14, 2020. She had died of a heart attack. (additional information from Punch).
