EVELYN OJEI FOUNDATION PARTNERS WITH UPS FOUNDATION TO FEED 200 FAMILIES IN IKORODU

The Evelyn Ojei Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving and touching lives of the people through their mentorship and empowerment programs for the youth, women and those less privileged in society recently put a smile on the face of over 200 families in the Ikorodu area of Ogun state in collaboration with their partner, UPS, a global logistics company through their UPS Foundation.

The UPS Foundation’s philanthropic approach centres on four focus areas: health & humanitarian relief, equity and economic empowerment, local engagement and planet protection.


The event took place on Saturday 29th July 2023 at the Great Overcomers School premises in the Ogijo area of Ogun state was aims to alleviate hunger and bring hope to those in need through their Food Crusade for the Needy initiative.

The Food Crusade for the Needy initiative is an ongoing project by the Evelyn Ojei Foundation that seeks to address the issue of food insecurity among vulnerable communities. By partnering with UPS, the foundation has been able to expand its reach and impact, ensuring that more families in Ogun State receive the support they need.


Speaking at the occasion, Mrs. Evelyn Ojei the President of the Foundation, applauded their partner UPS Foundation for their continued support to the organisation. In her word, She said, since the foundation was established  17 years ago, they have reached out to over 10,000 homes across Ogun State while the foundation has also trained over 200 people in various vocational training with the support of UPS.

She also used the medium to congratulate the new CCTV/ Solar engineering who graduated from their training institution. As she wishes them well, she employs them to be good ambassadors as they excel in their fields.

Evelyn Ojei used the medium to come on cooperate and governmental agencies to kick into their initiatives to empower and mentor more youth in our society in other to cable the high rate of crime and unemployment in our society.

The representative of UPS, Mr. Segun Brymoh in his speech appreciated the President and the entire team of the Evelyn Ojei Foundation for the good work the foundation has embarked on. In his word, UPS is known as a leading logistics company not only in Nigeria but the continent at large. Not many know humanitarian services which have been in existed for many decades, which is one of the reasons we are partnering with the Evelyn Ojei Foundation, to empower, mentor and touch the lives of people through their foundation.

The Register and Director of the Evelyn Ojei Foundation, Mrs. Modupe Omorogie said the food crusade initiative is their way of giving back to society at this difficult time. She further congratulated the new CCTV/ Solar engineers to be focused and determined to succeed as they journey in their new careers. She also appreciates President Evelyn Ojei for making the dream of many youths come to fulfilment.


While Mr. Dare Sunmoye, the CEO of Moye Tech Concepts Services was one of the past engineers who passed through Evelyn Ojei 3 weeks intensive training. In his word of encouragement, he advised the graduating student to be focused and determine because he never regret passing through the Evelyn Ojei Foundation. He said, my success story is not complete without Mummy Evelyn and Evelyn Ojei foundation. Today I will say, I am a better fashion of myself.

Evelyn Ojei Foundation was founded in 2006 and incorporated in 2007. Their aim is not only to provide immediate relief but also to empower the youth, women and less privileged to become self-sufficient in the long run.

Aside from feeding over 200 families through the Food Crusade For the Needy Initiative, well over 10 Youths were also trained in CCTV/ Solar installation and they were given start-up kits.
