The 8th Western Zone Golf Championship of the Ladies Golf Association of Nigeria will come up on the 20th to 22nd of April, 2023 with over 200 players.
The two-day competition is slated to take place at the Ibadan Golf Club in Onireke, Ibadan, between April 20 and 22, 2023.
The arrival and practice sessions for the competition will begin on April 20, 2023. The tournament's first day, April 21, 2023, will begin with the Ladies' Tee-Off at 7 a.m. and the Welcome Party at 6 p.m. The Women & Special Guests (Men) Tee-Off will begin at 7:00 am on April 22, 2023, which is Day 2 of the Tournament and the Grand Finale.
More than 200 players are anticipated to compete in the 8th edition of the Western Zone Championship, according to Evelyn Oyome, the first vice president of the Ladies Golf Association of Nigeria (LGAN). They anticipate prominent players and LGAN President, Princess Juliet Monyei-Inyere to compete. Others expected are Mary Onyejose, Diana Osmond, Grace Yusuf, Alaba Adetunji, Abiodun Hassan, and Folashade Ajala, among others.
Alhaja Mutiat Ladoja and Yeye Desire Osunsina are special guests of honour. While Mr. Olatunji Abiodun Adediran SAN and Mrs. Funke Majekodunmi, trustees for the Western Zone, will be on ground to present to welcome all participants.
