The acting governor of Ondo state, Mr Lucky Ayedatiwa has cautioned Land Grabbers encroaching into government Reserve areas to desist or face the law.
Mr Ayedatiwa gave the warning at the flag-off of the 2023 cropping season at Imafon, in the Akure North Local government area of the state.
He said that Government had mandated the registration of farmers in its reserves for accountability and peaceful coexistence hence the need for intruders to stay off.
The Acting Governor advised farmers to take advantage of the cropping season to plant trees as protection against natural disasters.
Mr Ayedatiwa assured farmers that the state government would continue to provide seedlings and Loans to farmers through the support of International funds for Agricultural Development IFAD.
Earlier the Commissioner for Agriculture and Forestry Mr olayato Aribo commended the state government for its interventions, especially the provision of farm inputs and soft loans to farmers for easy planting.
