Having followed the necessary procedure and traditional rights by the Ijan Kingmakers, Prince Lawrence Adebanji Aladesuyi was announced as the 25th Onijan of Ijan Ekiti on the 1st August 2022, 10 months after the demise of Oba Oyewole Fadanusi.
Prince Aladesuyi Adebanji Lawrence, an astute strategist cum publisher had been elected as the Oba Elect of Ijan Ekiti following the demise of Oba Samuel Oyewole Fadahusi who joined his ancestors on the 21st September 2021.
The new Oba Elect, Oba Adebanji Aladesuyi is the first son of Omo-Oba Aladesuyi Joel the former Olori Odo of Ijan Ekiti. Aladesuyi Joel is the direct son of Alabi Fagbamigbe. Alabi Fagbamigbe is the son of Fatube, a direct son of Ayelugbehin, the father of Olajiga, Tinuade and Fatube. Ayelugbehin is a direct son of Oba Afayabekun.
Kabiyesi bagged his first degree in Pharmacology from the University of Lagos, Akoka in 1983. He did his postgraduate Diploma in Mass Communication at the same University in 1987 and he further for his Master's degree at Obafemi Awolowo University in 2001.
He attended several courses in and outside Nigeria. He attended management courses at the University of Jos from 1990 to 1994. Management course at the Farmitalia Training School, Milan 1990. He attended African Publishers training, in Zimbabwe, in 2003 and Frankfurt Publishing training from 1998-2018.
Aside from his education sojourn, Kabiyesi had delivered several papers across the globe.
