Ahead of the Ekiti 2022 governorship election scheduled for June 18th 2022, there is speculation that not less than 3 political parties have started to woo the former Acting Governor and Ex-Speaker H. E Rt. Hon Olatunji Odeyemi to their party.
According to information, it was stated that APC, SDP and ADC have sent messages to the former speaker through their party leaders to lobby him out of PDP and joined their party ahead of the governorship election.
It will recall that the former Speaker and Acting Governor have written a letter to the National Leaders and party stakeholders concerning the role of the former Gov. Ayo Fayose in the just concluded PDP primary election in the state, mostly the role he played in his federal constituency, where an election was declared inconclusive but a name was said to have been forward to the leaders of the party. Though the former Speaker had sought the intervention of the leader of the party to rescue the party from sinking and his 22 years of loyalty to the party.
The former speaker who confirmed the news stated that a particular party had even promised him a senate ticket if he decamps to their party but his love for PDP had made him remain in the party.
