The officials queried are;
1. Mr Wale Ojo - Osun East Senatorial Chairman
2. Mr Remi Arogundade - State Financial Secretary
3. Mr. Adepoju Yemi Joseph - State Assistant Secretary
4. Mr. Lase Longe - State Assistant Organising Secretary
5. Mr. Marcus Fadehan - Ex - Officio
6. Mr Sanmi Ogunyemi - Ex - Officio
7. Mr. Durojaye Isaac - Chairman, Ife East Local Government.
In the query signed by Mr Bola Ajao, the party secretary the aforementioned party officials have allegedly neglected/abandoned and wilfully refused to carry out their assigned constitutional duties/obligations/responsibilities since October, 2020.
The officials were given 48hours to respond to query or risk stricter disciplinary measures.
Meanwhile, according to observers chief among whom is Akin Adeyi a.k.a Ayeniromo Orunogbeke, this development is not the first in the history of the party in the state. "It is just a repeat of the ugly history and genesis of the Osun chapter of the party's crisis". Adeyi recalled on how in a similar manner some
eight years ago precisely on the 10th day September,2013 the then chairman of the party Mr Gani Olaoluwa even without any prior query suspended certain members of the party. Those suspended include: the former chairman of the party, Mr Ademola Rasaq, the former party secretary, Mr. Yinka Adeojo, a member of a federal board, Mr. Soji Adagunodo, Mr Rasaq Oyetunji, former chief driver to Oyinlola, former Ilesa West Local Government chairman, Mr. Ibukun Fadipe, former PDP factional chairman, Mr Akomola Ayedaade and former Osogbo Local government chairman, Mr Teslim Igbalaiye.
Others were a member of a federal board, Dapo Ayodele and Bowade Oyewale. Three wards chairmen in Ayedaade Local Government, wards 5, 6 and 8, were advised not to parade themselves as ward chairmen.
Three of its governorship aspirants, Messrs Wole Oke, Akinlabi Olasunkanmi and Fatai Akinbade, were given 24 hours to deny a statement credited to a former chairman of the party, Mr Ademola Rasaq, that they were members the new PDP.
Mr Fatai Akinbade, in his reaction to the development which was to later formed the genesis of this protracted Osun PDP crisis, said the party chairman, Mr Gani Ola-Oluwa lack the leadership quality to administer the party.
Meanwhile and according to observers, this same road, the same futile journey of eight years that has taken the party to nowhere maybe its impending doom so far is what they have again embarked upon.
The same way all the suspended members then were those that were loyal to Oyinlola Olagunsoye are the newly selected for query and subsequent suspension members of the party are those that are loyal to Adagunodo the embattled Osun PDP state Chairman.
Meanwhile, one of those purportedly queried have dismissed the development as joke of the year. He went further to say it was a huge sign of confusion perhaps one of the face saving options left for Mr Sunday Bisi and his so called State Working Committee especially and after they have plunged the party into a shameful and disastrous situation of its not likely to have a candidate in the fast approaching governorship election in the state. He advised the Bisi led faction of the party to rather embark on meaningful efforts capable of repositioning the party for its participation in the governorship election as anything short of this will spell doom for them in the hands of genuine party members.
