A source close to the Palace confirmed to Positive fm that the monarch died on Friday in a hospital outside Ondo state.
Oba Akinbola repotedly took ill few weeks ago and had since remained in the hospital until he passed away.
He is the first coronated king of the land. On the 15th day of July, 1995 under the then, military adminitrator of Ondo state, Colonel Ahmed Usman, our royal father, a distinguished gentleman and heir of the throne found qualified and competent to continue the great works of his fathers, was handed the staff of office as the traditional ruler with the title Alade okun of Alade Idanre.
