CELEB: KING OF TRADITIONAL MUSIC, LEKAN ADEPOJU IS DEAD

Ondo / Ekiti traditional musician, HRH Oba Lekan Ishola Adepoju is dead.

The news of his death came as a rude shock to many of his fans as he was said to have have died at a private hospital in Ekiti state where he had been receiving treatment.

H.R.M Oba Lekan Ishola Adepoju (Agbelepase 1), the 1st King of Traditional Music in Yourba land is a native of Irun Akoko in Ondo state and the son of the first indigenous musician to ever record an album in the history of Ekiti State.

According to his friend Olayemi Ibrahim who posted on his Facebook page, he wrote

It's been a long day without you, my friend

And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again

We've come a long way from where we began

Oh I'll tell you all about it when I see you again

      Hmmmm...... Olamilekan  oooo.I was really hoping a miracle  would happen and you will come back to life. How I wish.

     I never imagined this brief illness would consume you, as you have always been a fighter. You have fought and won so many battles in life, so this time around I was confident you will win again.

   You were really fearless,bold and courageous. You were always supportive even to the latter. The memories of you will keep flooding my heart 😪.You were a true definition of the word 'Friend and brother'.

   I have a thousand and one questions to ask you cos you didn't say goodbye.I guess you didn't see death coming, so how it ended this way is still a mystery to me. When I call you last you told me Olami  ile aye ti sumi ,I told you we will talk better when we see face to face,so it was all dream?

    Dear brother, you know fully well that  so many destinies were attached to yours but  you choose to  leave all behind. You left a great vacuum behind, you left us all ....your daughter , sons,wife  younger ones, elders ones, friends, colleagues  and the entire  family.

  So now that you are gone,those stuffs we started together, I mean those stuffs you initiated,what will happen to them? Cos I know deep down you,you will want me to carry on,but how do you expect me to carry on,with your memories? OMG

     Your death is so painful, tears won't stop flowing. I take solace in God,the unquestionable God. May God comfort us all. May God grant you eternal rest. You left me without saying goodbye i don't have anyone to share my secret with i only confide in you 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭.

 You will be greatly missed.
