The Chairman of Kogi State traditional council, the Attah of Igala, Dr. Micheal Ameh Oboni II, is dead. He died after a brief illness.
According to the Tribune, the traditional ruler died on Thursday in Abuja at Wada private hospital.
As of the time of filing this report, the Kogi State government and the traditional council in Igala were yet to issue any statement on the demise of the traditional ruler.
Idakwo Michael Ameh-Oboni was installed as the Attah-Igala in 2013, a seat his father occupied between 1946 and 1956.
