EVENT: ADENITAN SET FOR INSTALLATION AS 6TH AKURE EMERALD LIONS CLUB PRESIDENT


Lion Olufisoye Adenitan is set to be installed as the 6th President of the Akure Emerald Lions Club on Sunday, April 19, 2026.

The installation ceremony, which will also feature the induction of new members and inauguration of club executives, is scheduled to hold at the Banquet Hall of Dejavu Hotel, Alagbaka, Akure.

The event will be presided over by the District Governor, District 404A-4 Nigeria, Robison Omonigho Okoro, and is expected to attract stakeholders and members of the humanitarian community.

Organisers said the ceremony would also serve as a fundraising platform to support various humanitarian initiatives within the club’s mandate area.

In addition, the club will honour individuals who have distinguished themselves in advancing humanitarian causes across different sectors.


Among the awardees are the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Ondo State Governor, Adekola Falohun; the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Seun Osamaye; and the Vice Chancellor of the University of Medical Sciences Ondo, Ebunoluwa Adejuyigbe.

Other honourees include Lion Akinola Falusi Mabolosirin, Lady Anteyi Grace Ene, Lion Olatunji Jubreel, Yeye Olusola Akin-Falusi Mabolosirin, Evangelist Solayide Olasinde, Mr Lateef Audu, Lion Bode Akinwumi, Engr. Abraham Abimbola Bakare, Lion Dora Adebayo, Engr. Temitope Owolabi, and Lion Anu Ojediran.

The club said the recognition is in line with the humanitarian ideals of Lions Clubs International, noting that the awardees have made significant contributions in their respective fields.

Stakeholders are expected to use the event to further strengthen collaboration on community service and development initiatives.
