A Leader Rooted in the People

He proceeded to the University of Ilorin, earning a B.Sc. in Geography in 1997, and later crowned it with an M.Sc. in Public Administration from Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko — a testimony to his quest for deeper knowledge in governance and public management.
From Activism to Policy – A Lifelong Journey
Akogun’s early involvement with the Campaign for Democracy (CD) and the Committee for the Defence of Human Rights (CDHR) in the 1990s showcased his courage and passion for justice. This was long before the glitz of politics; it was service from the heart.
Over the years, he transitioned into public administration, playing key roles with the Ondo State Football Agency (ODSFA), Sunshine Stars Football Club, and later becoming one of the most prominent voices of the Ondo State House of Assembly, where he served as Spokesperson and Chairman of the House Committee on Information.
The Communicator, The Organizer, The Visionary
His experience as a media strategist, event organizer, football administrator, farmer and communication consultant gives him a rare blend of versatility — the type needed to navigate the complexities of public service.
